Professor Bushrui is the first incumbent of the Bahá'í
Chair for World Peace
at the
Center for International Development and Conflict Management.
He is an internationally recognized and distinguished scholar,
teacher, author, and poet dedicated to the causes of intercultural
appreciation and understanding, and peace education. Professor
Bushrui is dedicated to his students, and in recognition for his
"superior commitment to students and undergraduate education,"
he has received the 1999 Outstanding Faculty Award by the University
of Maryland Parents' Association.
Sepedeh Hooshidari is a recent graduate of the University of Maryland
with a BA in Economics. In the office of the Bahá'í
Chair for World Peace she coordinates special events, directs
public information and mailing campaigns, manages the office's
relational database, and assists with research and editing on
various projects.

James Madaio is a recent graduate of the University of
Maryland who holds a B.A. in History and a B.A. in Philosophy.
Mr. Madaio performs research and editorial work for various publications
and projects. He also serves as Academic Coordinator for the Bahá'í
Chair for World Peace, and in that capacity assists with all aspects
of the Chair's Honors Program course entitled "The Spiritual
Heritage of the Human Race."

Ms.
Moallem graduated from the University of Maryland with a double
BA in Government & Politics and in French Language & Literature.
Her responsibilities at the Bahá'í Chair for World
Peace include research, collection of data and preparation of
material, as well as editorial work for various projects.
